Dear Chucao
I have been fishing all over the world. I have had the most wonderful experiences. However, I must tell you that none have even come close to the time I spent at the Chucao fishing lodge in Chile. This was truly a trip of a lifetime for my sons and myself.

Most of the good words like fantastic and incredible have with time been overused to the point where it is difficult to really describe a unique situation and express your true feelings. However, I will try, as Chucao Lodge is indeed the top of the field, and the setting in Chilean Patagonia is priceless. All the staff is highly motivated to provide the best possible attention in a friendly and joyful way, as is the Chilean custom. The facility itself is outstanding, designed following Gonzalo’s high standards and attention to detail. In this place I caught the biggest trout of my life!!

“There’s no place like home” – There are the words that came each time I arrive here at the Chucao lodge. The welcome comfort is always sure and ready. The views of the lodge – the mountains- the glacier with various light and colours never fail to delight my senses. The staff always so helpful and friendly , the guides knowing where and how to help me enjoy the feel of a heavy trout on my line… Meals cooked so deliciously and served so well – makes me never want to leave the place. A feeling of appreciation and respect for Gonzalo Cortés – and his family for the attention to the small details that make all the difference….
